Demolition of the “Archimede” solar plant and related works at the Priolo Gargallo Thermal Power Plant (SR).
The activities involved:
- dismantling and complete demolition of the solar thermal power plant: mirror area, BOP area, pipes, equipment, structures, civil works, etc.;
- demolition of reinforced and non-reinforced concrete;
- crushing and de-ferrization of reinforced concrete;
- earthworks;
- removal of insulation from pipes, equipment, and various structures;
- salt removal;
- acquisition of scrap metal from demolition;
- collection, transport, and delivery to the final destination of waste/residues generated by the activities in question;
- characterization of all waste (sampling and chemical analysis, to be carried out at authorized laboratories, assignment of EER identification code);
- classification, packaging, transport, and disposal of materials resulting from demolition and remediation activities in authorized and/or special landfills.
